This past weekend I visited the
Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden for an elephant encounter. This was a gift my parents gave to me for my birthday. Their donation supports elephant conservation and allowed me to live a dream! I got to meet, up close and personal, one of the zoo's elephants. Her name is May Tie. Elephants are my favorite wild animal. During the meeting, May Tie painted me a very beautiful abstract picture! Then, me and four guests, my boyfriend Forrest, friend Sarah, and nephew Sam, had our picture taken with her and were able to pet her. (I asked my parents to go with me first, but they insisted I take my friends, lucky friends I have ;).) May Tie is such a beautiful, gentle creature. I was just smitten with her. Afterward, we got a behind-the-scenes tour of the elephant house. It was very educational. The staff members were amazing and so full of love and knowledge! This was by far one of the coolest things I've ever had the privilege of doing and believe me I've had some amazing experiences in this life. Thank you Cincinnati Zoo for this great opportunity. Thank you mom and dad for loving and spoiling me so much. Thank you God for these gorgeous gentle giants that we are so lucky to have on this earth.
